Three guerrillas killed in Colombia
Three FARC guerrillas were killed in a combat with the Colombian army in the rural portion of Tierralta, a northern municipality, the military said. The FARC is the Andean nation's largest rebel group and has been in peace talks with the government since the fall of 2012.

The fighting occurred in a sector of that municipality known as La Changa, on the border of the provinces of Cordoba and Antioquia, between members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, and troops from the Nudo de Paramillo task force with air support.

According to the commander of the task force, Gen. Leonardo Pinto Morales, the dead insurgents, two men and a woman, "were carrying out their actions in the indigenous communities that are found on the banks of the Verde, Colorado and Sinu rivers". In the operation, troops also seized three combat rifles, a two-way radio, three grenades and ammunition.
