This visit will further enhance India-Canada ties, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he wrapped up his three-nation tour on Thursday and flew back home from this Canadian city.
"I leave Canada with immense satisfaction. This visit will further enhance India-Canada ties. A big thanks to the people of Canada," tweeted Modi.
Modi thanked Canadian Premier Stephen Harper and called him "a fine host, a wonderful human being, and a very dear friend".
Modi began his nine-day official tour from France on April 9. He then travelled to Germany, from where he flew to Canada. He visited the Canadian cities of Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver.
Modi flies back to India, with a stopover at Frankfurt.
During his visit, he connected with the Indian diaspora.
The three-nation tour was marked by the announcement on purchase of 36 Rafale fighter jets in France, clinching a five-year uranium supply deal with Canada, pushing the Make in India initiative in Germany, and ass
