New Delhi:On Friday, Minister of Culture and Tourism Prahlad Singh Patel encouraged the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) to include monuments dating back 500 years in its list of protected landmarks, saying that it is "not allergic to the history and courage of anyone," but that "burying someone below is not acceptable either."

At the opening of a picture exhibition celebrating the Kargil Vijay Diwas, Patel, who represents the Damoh constituency of Madhya Pradesh in the Lok Sabha, made the comments. The leader of the Bhratiya Janata Party also paid homage to the martyrs of Kargil.

"Martyrdom outlasts and is stronger than life lived until ancient times. For a long, long moment to come, martyrs are remembered for their courage and courage," Patel said in his opening lecture.

In the ability of the Minister of Culture, he instructed the ASI and the National Monuments Authority (NMA) to include monuments dating back 500 years ago in the list of protected monuments of ASI if they were allready  not included.
