The doors of Lord Shri Nagchandreshwar Temple, which opens once a year on the occasion of Nag Panchami in Ujjain, were opened at midnight, which is auspicious. 

After the temple doors were opened, Mahant Vineet Giri Maharaj of Panchayati Mahanirvani Akhara first worshipped Lord Nagchandreshwar as per the rituals. 

On this occasion, Temple Management Committee Chairman and Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police Pradeep Mishra, Administrator Mrinal Meena, committee members and police officers were present. After worshipping the idol of Shri Nagchandreshwar, the Shivalinga of Shri Nagchandreshwar was worshipped and consecrated. After the puja, the darshan of Lord Nagchandreshwar was opened to the general public.
