Exhibition Unites Artisans and Designers, Promotes Sustainable Practices in Traditional Craft

Mumbai: To create a cohesive forum for artists, technocrats, legislators, and other key stakeholders interested in the prospects and challenges of sustainability in today’s rapidly changing world, The Collab 2025 exhibition was held this week in Mumbai.  Tisser, a platform that supports sustainable artisan products, and The World Trade Centre co-hosted the event.

Importantly, guests took in a unique funfair that honoured the collaboration between technologists and artists striving for a more environmentally friendly future. Along with thought-provoking talks and debates about new trends, technology, and the future of sustainability, the event also featured panel discussions and fireside chats with policymakers, industry leaders, and change-makers. Additionally, Arohan, a key initiative of The Collab 2025, was unveiled. It is a training facility devoted to empowering artisans through innovation, knowledge sharing and skill development.

Apart from networking opportunities, the event showcased initiatives that promoted responsible consumption and upcycling; the ‘Bin to Spin’ initiative aims to highlight the importance of recycling and sustainable practices within the textile and craft industries.
