Mumbai: Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan, in a show of unity, was joined by the newly appointed Maharashtra cabinet led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar. Together, they offered a heartfelt tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at the Chaityabhumi Memorial, marking the 69th Mahaparinirvan Din of Dr Ambedkar in Mumbai.
The Governor released the book ‘Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhartiya Prajasattak Sakarnara Mahamanav’ written by former MP and Economist Dr. Narendra Jadhav.
The annual Mahaparinirvan Diwas is a testament to the enduring legacy of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, the major architect of the Indian Constitution and a champion of social equality. His tireless advocacy for the rights of Dalits and other oppressed populations continues to inspire generations, even after his passing in 1956.
