IIM Bangalore to Host All-Night Classical Arts Festival

Mumbai: SPIC MACAY, a cultural movement dedicated to promoting India’s artistic heritage, will present Yamini 2026, its iconic annual overnight festival of Indian classical arts, on January 25 at the Open Air Theatre, IIM Bangalore. Organised by the SPIC MACAY–IIM Bangalore Chapter, the festival returns for its 22nd consecutive year and will continue through the night, culminating at dawn the next day.

The all-night celebration will feature performances by eminent maestros across Carnatic and Hindustani vocal music, Kathak, Rudra Veena, Nadaswaram and classical jazz blues, offering audiences an immersive experience of India’s rich and diverse cultural traditions under a starlit sky. Yamini 2026 promises a night of sublime music and dance, celebrating heritage, artistic excellence and shared cultural experience.

An important aspect of the festival is that entry is free, and no prior registration is required. The venue will also host food stalls throughout the night, along with stalls offering music, books and cultural merchandise, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.

SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth) is a 48-year-old, volunteer-driven, non-political cultural movement committed to introducing young people to India’s rich and diverse heritage.
