Shravan Somwar decorations at Matunga Shiva temple

On the occasion of the first Monday of Shravan month also called as Shravan Somwar, Many temples in Mumbai conducts special poojas even though the public is not allowed. At the Sri Bhuvaneswar Shiva temple, which is a 75-year-old temple maintained by a Gujarathi trust, the sanctum sanctorum was decorated with grains and ghee. This will be followed by, fruits, vegetables, flowers, dry fruits and Ice on the following Mondays.

 

At the nearby Sri Shankara Mattham temple, daily Aadi masa Pooja being conducted for Devi Shakthi and the idol of Lord Shiva being decorated with Golden Kavach
