Ten people died while over 20 others were seriously injured in a road accident when a state transport corporation bus hit a lorry in Tamil Nadu's Tiruchy district on Tuesday night, said police.

 
According to police, the accident happened with the Nagercoil-bound bus rammed into a lorry parked on the Samayapuram highway in Tiruchy, around 350 km from here.
 
The injured were admitted to the government hospital nearby.
 
Police have registered a case and are investigating.
