Kanpur, Dec 28: Alomost 14 coaches of train no 12988, Saeldah Ajmer express have derailed near Rura in Kanpur during early morning hours and have caused further disruption of traffic on the Kanpur route as stated by Railway officials. 

 

Several passengers including the train guard have been injured in the incident and rescue teams have been rushed to the spot of the accident along with senior members of the Kanpur railway division who have also reached the site. 

 

This will be the second biggest accident of the year when initially a train had derailed between Patna and Kanpur causing the death of more than a hundred people. 

 

With initial reports of damage still to come, the estimate of loss to life and property is  yet to reach a conclusion.
