The Manali police arrested three Nepalese truck drivers for allegedly gang raping a 30-year-old US national last Monday. The suspects were arrested in the wee hours of Thursday and the tipper used by them for perpetrating the crime has also been seized, Police said.

 

The arrested drivers have been identified as Arjun (22), Lakki (24) and Som Bahadur (24) are from Nepal, Kullu SP Vinod Dhawan said. The crime took place Monday night on a tipper after she was offered a lift back to Manali from Vashisth in Himachal.

 

This is second gang rape of a foreign national in as many months, when a Swizz woman was raped by more than eight men in a village in Datia district of MP while she was asleep in the open with her companion.   

 

A team of forensic experts has collected some vital clues from the tipper allegedly used for the crime and sent these to Forensic Science Lab for further examination.
