ME News Bureau: 43 people, including three minors, have been arrested so far in relation to the Koregaon-Bhima caste clash that erupted Maharashtra in the last week.

Pune police has said that cases were registered against them and all the people that arrested are from Pune only.

There were violent protests and clashes across Maharashtra earlier after a youth was killed in a clash between the Dalit group and the Maratha group during an event to mark the bi-centenary celebrations of Bhima-Koregaon battle that took place near Pune.

Dalit organizations had called on for a 'Maharashtra bandh' as a protest against the Maratha move against their celebrations, but later called off.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had been ordered a Crime Investigation Department (CID) probe into the death and also announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the kin of the deceased.
