AC buses to ply to T2

BEST which runs a fleet of more than 3500 buses will shortly start three new AC bus services linking suburbs and the new international airport’s second terminal (T2). The new routes will link T2 with Navi Mumbai, Thane and Borivli– T2 to CBD Belapur, T2 to Cadbury Junction (Thane) and T2 to Borivli (W).
It will initially have six trips in both directions and the travel time will fluctuate between an hour to two hours. The bus fare will range from Rs 55 (T2 to JVPD, Juhu) and Rs 70 (T2 to Adarsh Nagar, Andheri) to Rs 180 (T2 to CBD Belapur).
V S Tamboli from the PR department of BEST claimed, “We have already built a bus station outside T2 and this will cater to a large number of passengers in near future. BEST has already given on lease AC buses to private airlines inside the airport.”
Tamboli further added, “If all goes well, we will soon have a BEST bus depot near the new T2 building. It will cater to airline passengers, who will avail of services every 5 to 10 minutes from the airport.There are also plans to connect the domestic airport terminal with the international airport terminal to facilitate smooth travel.
