A total 900 candidates are left in the fray for the Dec 4 polls to the 70-member Delhi assembly, a State Election Commission official said Tuesday.
"A total 1,195 candidates had filed their nominations, of which 295 candidates' candidatures were cancelled due to wrong documentation and ineligibility," he added.

"Though the scrutiny has been completed by the State Election Commission, the final list of candidates will be clear once the last date for withdrawal of names (Nov 20) is over," said the official.
"Though the names of the candidates whose candidature was cancelled has not been revealed till now, official letters will be sent to them within two days, explaining the reason behind cancellation of their candidature," he informed.
