AIADMK cadres back in protest mode

The joy of AIADMK cadres assembled outside the party office and the residence of former chief minister J. Jayalalithaa Tuesday was short-lived and they are back in the protest mode.
Party cadres erupted in joy after television channels said Jayalalithaa was granted conditional bail by the Karnataka High Court.
AIADMK cadres – men and women – assembled outside Jayalalithaa's residence and the party headquarters here and danced in joy. They burst crackers and distributed sweets.
However their joy turned out to be short-lived as channels soon started saying that she was denied bail.
While some went away from the scene others sat on the road in protest demanding her release.
A special court Sep 27 convicted Jayalalithaa for corruption and jailed her for four years. She was also fined Rs.100 crore. Since then, she is in the Bangalore Central Jail.
