Tamil Nadu, Dec 29: The General Council of AiADMK has resolved to elect Sashikala as their next Genera Secretary and work under her leadership until the next elections are announced in the state.
A resolution was passed to this effect by 23 leaders including Chief Minister Paneerselvam and deputy speaker of Lok Sabha Thambidurai who were all seconded by the 2000 strong party members.
The meet condoled the death of the former leader and resolved to take forward the party name under Sashikala’s banner. The announcement came even as the party is mired with ongoing conflict with Sashikala Pushpa who has tried to file nomination for the party’s position yesterday where her husband and lawyer both got manhandled by party cadre.
