Chandigarh, March 16 :Capt Amarinder Singh has been sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Punjab today. He was sworn in by the Governor VP Singh Badnore at an impressive ceremony at the Raj Bhavan.
This will be the minister's second stint as Chief Minister of Punjab. The ceremony was attended by COngress VIce President, Rahul Gandhi and other heavy weights of Congress. Punjab is the only state where the Congress has been able to form a Government after ten years of Badal Governance.
Despite winning by a slight majority in Manipur and Goa, Congress failed in acting on time and claiming their numbers on the floor of the assembly as a result Punjab is the only state to have had a majority of Congress in numbers.
