New Delhi: During a discussion on the scrapping of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the state bifurcation with Home Minister Amit Shah, the Lok Sabha observed some heated moments stating, "We will die for Kashmir."

Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury sought Home Minister clarification asking, "S Jaishankar told Mike Pompeo a few days ago that Kashmir is a bilateral matter, so don't interfere with it. Is J&K still an inner issue? We're going to understand. The whole party of the Congress expects you to be enlightened.

The Home Minister, who introduced a resolution to scrap the article that gives the state unique status and a bill to bifurcate the state, replied: "J&K is an inseparable component of India, this is in the Constitution of India and Jammu and Kashmir. Parliament is therefore fully entitled to make laws on the state.
