Rail traffic on Kasara – CST route was disturbed when engine and luggage compartment of Amravati-Mumbai express jumped out of the track near Kalyan early on Thursday morning.

The incident happened after the engine and one SLR (General Second Class cum Guard's Van) of 12112 Amravati-Mumbai Express derailed while entering platform no.4 at Kalyan in the early hours at 4:30 am.

The derailment has disrupted traffic on the Nasik-Igatpuri-Kalyan line.

No injury to any passenger has been reported and the repair work is in full swing.
