An army soldier was killed in a gunfight between guerrillas and security forces in Kashmir, police said Wednesday.

 

 The incident took place in north Kashmir's Kupwara district late Tuesday.  "One sepoy of the army was killed in a gunfight which occurred near the Line of Control (LoC) in Tangdhar town late yesterday (Tuesday) night," a police officer said.

 

 Police sources told IANS that a gunfight was on between separatist guerrillas and the security forces in the border town late Tuesday.
