Arunachal Pradesh CM Deputy and 5 more suspended from party membership

Itanagar, Dec 30: The ruling People’s Party of arunachal Pradesh on Thursday evening suspended Chief Minister, Prema Khundu, deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein along with 5 other MLAs for indulging in anti party activities.

The Arunachal Pradesh Congress committee president Padi Richo meanwhile is foxing on the mid term polls in the state urging party members to go door to door in building up the popular support for the party along with a mass agitation against demonetisation.

After months of political turmoil in the state, Prema Khundu took over as the new chief minister after ousting former Chief Minister, Nabham Tuki who was later reinstated as the chief minister of the state by the Apex court in July 13th last year.

In September the Congress suffered an embarrassment in Arunachal Pradesh when 45 of its member broke away defected to the PPA one of the regional parties.
