The cops held one devotee of Asaram on Friday for allegedly intimidating the father of the adolescent girl who was reportedly physically abused by Asaram. The follower had went to the hotel, where the parents of the girl are staying in the morning, and threatened them if they depose against Asaram in court. The girl's parents are currently staying in Jodhpur to attend trial in the court, where her mother's examination is under progress.

 

Well placed sources said, Arjun – the follower of Asaram, has been staying in Jodhpur for quite some time. " Karm Veer Singh, father of the girl, in a complaint to the cops said Arjun came to his hotel where they had been staying. Arjun then warned him not to depose against Asaram in the court," a cop said, adding that on his complaint "we reached there and detained Arjun".

 

Singh said Arjun is an associate of Asaram since long and looked after the financial matters of Asaram. "He had been trying to talk to me since long and today, he came to my hotel and expressed his wish to talk to me. When I came out to see him, he started threatening me of dire consequences saying if my wife deposes in court against Asaram. I then called the guards, who informed the police and got him arrested," Singh said.

 

Denying allegation Arjun said, "The girl's father had called me up and requested me to meet him. When I went there, he asked me to come to his room and after getting me engaged into a gossip, he called the police and complained to them that I was threatening them".
