Austerity is my USP: Arvind Kejriwal in Varanasi
Swarmed by a sea of followers, donning his trademark white cap, flanked by his parents and top leaders of his party, Arvind Kejriwal held a huge road show in Varanasi.

The tour concluded with him filing his nomination papers for the general election in which he is taking on BJP stalwart Narendra Modi. 45 year old Kejriwal whose  AAP has taken on the twin evils of communalism and corruption and promised a clean-up of the polity, emphasized his austere upbringing to voters.

"I have Rs. 500 in my pocket.  I have no money to fight elections. I am going to file my nomination in this old jeep," he said. In contrast, he stated, Modi will flaunt a helicopter when he arrives to formally declare his candidacy today.

"Behold! You may see him only in a helicopter after that as well," Kejriwal said sardonically, alleging that his opponents have spent thousands of crores on their canvassing.
