Lucknow: On Wednesday Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath issued a warning to those protesting against the Citizenship Law, saying "azadi" slogans at such protests will be considered as sedition and merit. Speaking at a function in Kanpur that is part of the BJP's law-related outreach to the people, he said "If anyone raises Azadi's slogans in the name of protest, it will amount to sedition and the government will take strict action. People can't be allowed to conspire against India from Indian soil".
