The CBI has started investigating into the horrendous rape-murder of two minor girls in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district on May 29, this year.

The investigating agency has decided to exhume the bodies of the victims and has quizzed several of their relatives, late on Saturday.  

It should be recalled here that the two minor girls were gang raped and murdered and their bodies were hung from a tree in the state’s Badaun district on May 29 this year that shocked the nation. The girls were reported to be aged between 13 -14 years. Among the rapists were three constables too, who were arrested and put under suspension by the government after much media heckeling.
