Bill to prevent religious

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government at the Centre is likely to bring a bill to prevent conversion of religion in the next Parliament session.

This arrives shortly after the government of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi-led NDA enacted significant bills, including Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Bill, bifurcating the state into two Union Territories – Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Bill 2019,

To reinforce the Central Anti-Terrorism Agency and empower its representatives and Muslim Women (Marriage Rights Protection) Bill, which seeks to criminalize the Triple Talaq ancient age practice.

Preparations have started for the anti-conversion bill and debates are ongoing for the same, said sources.
