BJP targets Robert Vadra, says he is principal land mafia

Addressing a mammoth gathering in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha – Sushma Swaraj’s constituency, the ebullient Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan while castigating the Congress claim that he was hand-in-glove with the mafia said the real land mafia is Sonia’s son-in-law Robert Vadra. The accusation refers to the land deals in Haryana, where the Congress is in power.
Meanwhile, Sushma Swaraj asked voters to grant her a massive victory against her arch rival the Congress candidate and Digvijay Singh’s younger brother Laxman Singh.
Ms Swaraj is expecting smooth sailing in this election too like the earlier one when she won after the Congress candidate's nomination was cancelled at the last minute on technical grounds.
The CM has rubbished the Congress claims and said his party would register an impressive victory in the polls which are a few days away from now. In a similar tone, yesterday, Narendra Modi, the BJP's mercurial prime ministerial candidate addressed a rally in Gurgaon, where he too lashed out at Vadra and said ‘he made a killing’. Modi demanded an explanation from Rahul Gandhi for his brother-in-law's windfall gains.
Neither the Congress Vice President nor his mother has addressed the Vadra controversy. Today, Sonia charged the BJP's prime minister-in-waiting of lying about her government's track record. "I want to ask you if becoming the PM of this country will be decided on who can speak more lies," she said at a rally in Jharkhand.
