In a breakthrough, the Delhi Police have arrested five persons in connection with the murder of a Manipuri youth on July 21. They have been remanded to police custody, the police, informed.
The 30-year-old Manipuri youth who was allegedly beaten to death during a brawl with a group of locals in South Delhi’s Kotla Mubarakpur area early on Monday morning, the police informed, still shrouded with mystery as to the exact reason for the murder.
Whether it is the growing racial hatred against the North East Diasporas in Delhi or happened when argument on some petty issue turned violent. The police contend it may be the ideal case of road rage – the contention having few takers.
Even earlier, too, the people from this region were attacked on innumerable occasions in our national capital, with police exhibiting lukewarm response.
The police sources earlier stated that the deceased, Shaloni, a BPO executive, was returning home from work when he had an altercation with four-five car-borne men around 2.30 am over some issue.
