The railway track near Aurangabad railway station in Bihar was blown up early on Wednesday allegedly by the Maoist ultras, the police informed.
The pilot engine that was preceding the Bhubaneshwar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express suffered a minor damage but no casualty was reported, the railway sources said.
The trains have been diverted through Patna till the tracks are repaired, the Eastern Railway in its communiqué announced.
Hotbed of ultra Left activities, this part of central Bihar had suffered several similar attacks in the past too, where precious lives were lost.
Meanwhile, in New Delhi, the Railway Minister Sadanand Gowda condemned this attack and ordered a probe into the blast.
