The Governor of Maharashtra, Ramesh Bais, has greeted the people on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. In his message, the Governor has said:

               “Bhagwan Buddha’s teachings of non-violence, peace and compassion have always guided mankind, societies and nations on the path of righteousness. These teachings are more relevant today than ever. I offer my pranams to Bhagwan Buddha and extend my heartiest greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Pournima.”
