Cong turns an inventor:Guj riots led to IM creation

The Congress stooped Sunday and exposed its intellectual poverty once again by letting one of its leaders blurt out nonsense of number one order. Base on some leaked NIA (National Investigation Agency) information on the Gujarat riots, the party claims that it was the mayhem under the nose of BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi that created the bloody Muslim terror outfit, the Indian Mujahideen, which is linked to even the latest blasts at the Buddhist temple in Bodhgaya a fortnight ago.
“The Gujarat riots of 2002 were the reason behind the creation of Indian Mujahideen. If BJP forsake their communal politics, outfits like IM will cease to exist,” Congress general secretary Shakeel Ahmed tweeted. The statement evoked a sharp response from the BJP, which slammed the Congress for playing with national security and communalising politics for votes as part of its diversionary tactics to deflect public attention from the UPAs failures.Even now the BJP and the RSS will not desist from their communal politics; Ahmed tweeted and named the RSS and the BJP as the main sources of communalism in the country.
The BJP hit back and accused Congress of actually trying to communalize the political scenario and termed the remarks as stupid and reprehensible. “It is a stupid argument. Pakistan had been funding these outfits, so please desist from helping enemies of the country,” BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu said.In a charge sheet filed on July 17 against five IM operatives for hatching a conspiracy to carry out terror attacks in different parts of the country, the NIA had said, Indian Mujahideen was formed in 2003 after ultra radicalized Muslim youth segregated from the Student Islamic Movement of India due to communal mobilization caused by factors like the riots in Gujarat in 2002 after the Godhra train burning incident and the Babri Masjid demolition. They do not believe in the Constitution and IMs members nurse communal hatred against the Hindu community.
Though the IM came to notice for the first time when it sent emails to media houses before serial blasts in Faizabad, Lucknow and Varanasi in UP in November 2007, its genesis goes back to 2000 when the underworld network was roped in to organise talent spotting, motivation and training of Indian youth in the facilities of LeT and Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. In fact, the terror outfit, in five of its six emails sent after carrying out terror attacks in different cities during 2007-08, repeatedly mentioned Gujarat riots and Babri Masjid demolition as responsible for their hatred towards Hindus.
