Residents of Goregaon and Dahisar will get a new RTO from April 29 and cars will be registered here under the registration number MH-47.
The new RTO is coming up at Kandarpada in Dahisar (W).Hence forth, those residing in Goregaon and Dahisar will not have to travel to Four Bungalows in Andheri for any RTO-related work, including car registrations, annual passing of vehicle and getting licences.
Confirming the development on friday, Andheri regional transport officer P G Bhalerao told TOI: "The state transport department has issued a circular bifurcating the Andheri RTO. Bandra to Jogeshwari will come under the Andheri RTO while areas between Goregaon and Dahisar will fall under the new RTO's jurisdiction."
