A 51-year-old Danish woman tourist was looted and raped by a gang here near railway station late Tuesday, police said Wednesday.

 

 Narrating her ordeal to police, the woman said that on her way back to the hotel in Paharganj, she lost her way and was lured by a group of men to a secluded area near the New Delhi railway station.

 

 She was first looted at knife point, and then raped by a gang of around six men, police said.

 

 According to a police official, a case has been registered and several people were detained for questioning. 

 

 The woman later managed to reach her hotel and called a friend in the Danish embassy. She will leave for Denmark Wednesday and will come back if needed.
