Delhi Lt. Governor a Congress agent: AAP leader

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Ashutosh said Friday Delhi Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung is working as a Congress agent and questioned of his letter to the solicitor general on the Lokpal bill.
"My opinion is that the Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung is working as a Congress agent and is trying to spoil the image of the Aam Aadmi Party. As soon as the letter reaches the Lt. Governor it gets leaked to the media," Ashutosh, the AAP spokesman, told the media.
The comment came after media reports appeared that Jung had sought the solicitor general's opinion on the Lokpal bill that the Delhi cabinet has cleared and was told the bill is required to go to the Lt. Governor's office and needs the union government's clearance before it is enacted.
On his part, solicitor general Mohan Parasaran said: "I am not bothered about politics. We have only given our opinion based on the constitutional position. Therefore, it is for the Lt. Governor to consider it and possibly act as he thinks fit."
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that he would write a letter to the Lt. Governor on this matter.
The Delhi cabinet Monday cleared the draft of the anti-graft Delhi Lokpal Bill, 2014, and had said that the bill would be passed in special assembly session Feb 16 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium here.
