For his contentious tweet contrasting the electoral fight in the Delhi Assembly Elections, Delhi Police lodged an FIR against Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kapil Mishra as a ' India vs Pakistan match. ' The FIR was filed on the direction of the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer at the Model Town Police Station under Section 125 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. Reacting to the issue Mishra said, "Congress and AAP are losing polls on the ground so they want to fight it at police station, court & on paper. I have not violated any law and have spoken the facts."
