Distinguished Indian-Americans call on Modi

A group of distinguished members of the Indian-American community called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday and said issues such as ease of doing business and clarity of decision making need focus.
"The Indian-Americans said that clarity of decision-making, ease of doing business, skill development and strong university-industry links are some of the important areas that need focus," a statement from the Indian government said.
Referring to the government's recent initiatives, Modi said the "Make in India" initiative would lay emphasis on ease of doing business.
Speaking about the raise of FDI limits in defence and railways, Modi said that investors must realize that FDI also stands for "First Develop India". He also referred to the Digital India and Skill India initiatives.
"The group said they would like to interact with the prime minister in future as well. The prime minister urged them to share their ideas on the MyGov platform – MyGov.in," the statement added.
