Ex MPs To Vacate Bungalo

All former members of parliament were told to vacate their official  accommodation — mostly heritage bungalows in the lush Lutyen area — the government said today. Having remained the norm, the government has now taken a tough line. Parliamentarians have been given a deadline of seven days, but at the end of three days, officials have been asked to stop the supply of electricity and water to these accommodations, said CR Patil, chairman of the Housing Committee. More than two months after the dissolution of the 16th Lok Sabha, many former parliamentarians are still leaving their formal bungalows in Lutyens ' Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the issue in a series of tweets today.
