Ex-railway minister faces CBI music
Former railway  minister Pawan Bansal, who lost his job after his nephew was arrested for accepting bribe, had to spend over six hours with the CBI.

The scandal began when his nephew Vijay Singla and railway board member Mahesh Kumar were arrested early May for accepting what began to be called cash-for-job scam. Kumar had allegedly paid Rs 90 lakh to Singla for retaining the additional charge of general manager of Western Railway after his promotion as railway board member-staff. This was allegedly part of Rs 10-crore deal Kumar struck with Singla. Following the controversy Kumar was asked to put in his papers.
