Election commission said that the state is well equipped to provide fair and fearless election in Maharashtra.

Post Lok Sabha Election this year about twenty eight lakh new voters have been enrolled to the voting list. The total number of voters in the state is 8.33 cr, of which 4.40 Cr are Male and 3.93 cr Women voters.

There are 91, 427 polling centers in the state. Centers which have more than 63 candidates will be using Ballot paper system as against EVM. Bokar in Nanded district has 75 contestants, Nanded North 80, Nanded South 91 These centers will opt the other than EVM.

Election commission has made elaborate arrangements for electricity, water, and toilets at all centers for the convenience of all.

Distribution of Voters slip with detailed information has already being in process.

Election commission has tightened the security measures by deploying a sizeable number police force for monitoring cash distribution and entertainment programmes to woo voters.
