Fake currency seized in Bengal
The Border Security Force (BSF) Friday seized fake Indian currency notes of the face value of Rs.8 lakh in West Bengal's Malda district, an official statement said.

The fake currency was seized at the Gopalnagar border outpost on the India-Bangladesh border in the district. According to the BSF, the notes were wrapped in polythene sheets and thrown by Bangladeshi smugglers into the Indian side over the border fence.

No arrest has been made and the seized notes have been handed over to the local police. The BSF Wednesday had made a similar seizure of fake currency of Rs.9 lakh face value.

So far in the year, the force has confiscated over fake currency with face value of Rs.42 lakh and apprehended 13 racketeers.
