Muzaffarpur: An FIR was lodged here on Thursday against celebrities, including Ramchandra Guha, Mani Ratnam and Aparna Sen, who had written an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi raising concerns about the increasing mob lynching incidents, police said. The case was lodged two months ago after an order was passed on a petition by local lawyer Sudhir Kumar Ojha by Chief Judicial Magistrate Surya Kant Tiwari. Police said the FIR had been lodged under sections of the Indian Penal Code, including those relating to sedition, public nuisance, hurting religious feelings, and insulting in an attempt to provoke peace break.
