At least six people died and ten people were injured after Tuesday's early hours of fire broke out in a multi-storey building in Zakir Nagar in south-east Delhi.

The injured, including two firemen, were shifted for therapy to the hospital, representatives of the fire department said.

"Five patients are in the intensive care unit (ICU), some are in the ward and one is in the pediatric ICU. Everything is under control. We have patient care specialists," Dr. Mala, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Holy Family Hospital said.
