New Delhi: On Sunday night a shot was fired outside the Jamia Millia Islamia University in south Delhi in the third such incident in four days at the capital's anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) protest. Two suspects, one wearing a red jacket, came on a scooter and opened fire outside Gate No. 5, said the Jamia Coordination Committee, which is taking part in the protest against the amended law on citizenship. They said no one was hurt. The police said some students told them that a shot had been fired at the university gate, 2 km from Shaheen Bagh, where protesters set up a tent on the road and dug in for nearly two months to protest the CAA.
