Firms vie for Metro-3 works
In order to design and construct underground stations and tunnels between Colaba to SEEPZ via Bandra for Metro Line – 3, fourteen international and domestic firms have jumped into the fray and submitted their prequalification bids.       
 
The bidders eying for this large project are—AFCONS-KMB, CEC-ITDCEM-TPL, CTCEG-PIIPL, Dogus-Soma, IL & FS-CR25G, J Kumar- CRTG, L&T-STEC, MOSMETROSTROY-HCC, OHL-SKE&C, Pratibha-GDYT Consortium, Sacyr CMC ESSAR, SalinImpregilo-Gammon, STRABAG-AG-Patel and UNITY-IVRCL-CTG. 
According to an MMRDA official the assessment of bids will be carried out in 90 days. This 32.5-km-long underground corridor linking Cuffe Parade in south Mumbai to SEEPZ in north Mumbai will have 26 underground stations.
