Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi Wednesday hoped they will be again elected to the Lok Sabha from Rae Bareli and Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.

  

 "I hope the people of Rae Bareli continue to support us," Gandhi told the media in brief comments after arriving here to file her nomination for the general election. Her son Rahul Gandhi echoed similar sentiments regarding Amethi.

  

 "I have a relationship with the people of Amethi. It is for them to respond (to my candidature)," he said.  Rahul Gandhi added that he and his mother had focussed on improving the area of agriculture, women's empowerment and education in the two constituencies known as Gandhi family strongholds.
