New Delhi: Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee met on Thursday in New Delhi with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The leader of the Trinamool Congress met with Shah at his North Block office. Banerjee met on Wednesday night with Prime Minister Narendra Modi also. "I gave him a letter to Amit Shah telling him that 19 lakh persons left out of the NRC are Hindi speaking, Bengali speaking, and Assamese local speaking. There were many real voters left out. This should be investigated. I submitted an official letter," said Mamata Banerjee.
“ I had a meeting with Amit Shah, hadn’t met him since he took over as the home minister,” Banerjee told reporters.
