The BJP has no sense of history and geography, and for more votes "destroyed" Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad of Congress said today in the midst of the tumult over the government's move to end the state's special status."They not only scrapped Article 370, Article 35-A, but also split the state. India was decapitated by this government. Jammu and Kashmir were the heads of India… Jammu Kashmir ka tukde tukde kar diya (they broke the state into bits)," he said as the government shifted four bills to reorganize Jammu and Kashmir in Rajya Sabha. The country is now to be divided into two union regions-Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

"These people (the BJP) have come to power recently. They don't know … they haven't considered the strategic aspects … we've got a long border with China, we've got a border with Pakistan and the occupied Kashmir … to play around with the border state, its people … it's a traitor to the country," Mr Azad said.
