A blast spurred by gas leakages in Gujarat’s Alang shipyard has claimed five precious lives; besides, ten others who are reportedly injured and admitted to a nearby hospital, the port trust authorities informed.

The shipyard known for recycling salvaged ships is located on the Gulf of Khambat, 50 kilometers southeast of Bhavnagar.
