Srinagar, March 28: Gunfight rages on in Budgam, Kashmir between three terrorists and security personnel since the early morning hours of the day. The encounter is second such in two days with security forces having neutralised two terrorists yesterday.
As soon as the security forces cordoned off Durbugh village following information about the presence of the militants holed-up in a house, they were fired at, triggering the fighting. This is the second such encounter since sunday when terrorists tried to ambush a police partol party but were eventually killed in the ensuing gun fight.
With summers around the corner, the valley is likely to witness more bloodshed than last year as radical youths could be used by seperatists to instigate more protests against the security forces.
