Heavy Rain Vadodara Airp

Vadodara: On Wednesday, owing to heavy rain, Vadodara Airport was closed. There have also been two national flights cancelled, said the airport authorities.
Vadodara got very heavy rain in Gujarat on Wednesday-over 400 millimeters in just 12 hours, said the weather bureau. Western Railways said that owing to water-logging, some trains passing through the town had to be diverted.

The Government of Gujarat directed the local authorities to move individuals from low lying regions in Vadodara. On Wednesday night, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani called a conference to review the Vadodara scenario. He encouraged individuals during the rescue activities to collaborate with local authorities.

A number of other locations in Gujarat including Ahmedabad, Surat and Panchmahal were struck by heavy rainfall.
